For three years, I helped business clubs in Liège organize their dinners and conventions. Every time, the same friction: Excel, WhatsApp, a file of lost badges, contacts gone by Monday morning. The problem isn't a lack of tools. It's that none were designed for this format.

Questions asked.

Why no self-serve?
Since April 2026, all purchases go through a 30-min Calendly demo with the founder. A direct exchange to see if SmartConnection fits your format. No pressure. The annual payment link is sent right after the call.
What's the pricing for events of 10 to 1500 attendees?
Three annual plans: Essential €890 / 3 events, Pro €2,490 / 10 events, Business €6,990 / unlimited events. Attendees free on all plans. No revenue share, no per-attendee fees.
Why annual pricing and not monthly?
Monthly encourages churn and complicates engagement with your audience. Annual guarantees networking graph continuity across your events. It's consistent with your professional event season.
What exactly is an "activated event"?
1 event = 1 dedicated space in the app, regardless of duration or size. A series of linked workshops (3 sessions on the same day, for example) can be grouped as 1 event. Billing triggers on the first activated event, not at signature — if you don't use SmartConnection, you don't pay.
What if SmartConnection doesn't work for my first event?
If your first pilot event doesn't generate a post-event NPS of at least 7, we refund in full. That's our guarantee for 2026 early adopters. We'd rather exit the contract than keep an unhappy client.
Excl. or incl. VAT?
All prices are excl. VAT (Belgian VAT 21% excluded). A company invoice is issued after each payment. If you're VAT-registered outside the EU, contact us for the appropriate VAT handling.
What about paid ticketing?
Deliberately out of scope. For paid ticketing, we partner with Weezevent and Eventbrite. We handle free registration and event management. Ticketing stays with the specialists.
Can I try before committing?
30-min live demo via Calendly, simulating one of your real events. If it fits, payment link sent right after. If it doesn't, we tell you frankly.
What's the difference between Essential, Pro and Business?
Essential covers the fundamentals (matching, badges, check-in, basic analytics). Pro adds kiosk check-in, full gamification, per-event branding and advanced ROI analytics. Business unlocks full white-label, public API and a dedicated Account Manager.
How long to launch an event?
24 to 48 hours for an Essential event (templates ready). 1 to 2 weeks for a Pro with custom branding. 2 to 4 weeks for a Business with white-label and API integrations.
Which integrations are available?
Google Calendar (bidirectional OAuth), Microsoft Outlook / Graph (custom bidirectional OAuth), HubSpot (contact sync), LinkedIn (profile pre-fill), Stripe (payments + customer portal), Sentry (monitoring). All live in production.
Does SmartConnection integrate with my CRM?
Native HubSpot sync included starting Pro. Public API + idempotent webhooks on the Business plan to integrate Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho or a homegrown CRM. Documented webhooks, signed events.
Can I import my attendee base?
Yes — CSV import with smart mapping (auto-detected columns), or LinkedIn pre-fill from a profile URL. No imposed format, we adapt to your existing Excel or Mailchimp export.
How does the bidirectional calendar work?
Google or Outlook OAuth once per attendee. On every accepted meeting, the event is created on both calendars with auto-conflict-detection. On-demand reconcile to rebuild if a sync got out of step.
What exactly is the public API?
Documented REST v1, per-token scopes, explicit rate limit, idempotent HMAC-SHA256-signed webhooks. Business plan only. Typical use cases: advanced CRM sync, analytics export, Zapier/Make automation.
Do my attendees need to download an app?
No. Everything goes through an email magic link then a mobile-first PWA web app. No install, no store. A Capacitor iOS/Android app is configured for clients who want it (not published by default).
How many languages?
Three native languages: French, English and Dutch. 2,278 keys × 3 languages, hand-translated. The language follows the attendee, even across events.
How does Smart Matching work?
Transparent 6-dimension engine: sector, seniority, networking objective, geography, company size, intent. Every match shows its percentage. Two modes — Classic (precise) and Discovery (unexpected encounters).
What happens after the event?
Your attendees keep access to their contacts, notes, and receive their EventRecapCard 1080×1080 LinkedIn-shareable. You access the full graph, the CRM follow-up with 6 templates and overdue / upcoming alerts for 12 months.
What exactly is the gamification?
8 levels from Starter to Visionary. Sparks (~800–1200 per event) that add up across events. A branded Spark Shop to swap points for rewards. A personal Mission Pack per event (3-5 goals, +75 per check, +150 bonus for full pack).
Are the badges printable?
Built-in designer, PDF export, direct browser printing. Pre-built templates or 100% custom design per event (Pro+). Native NFC + QR for check-in and contact exchange.
Does it work for a multi-event alumni network?
Yes — it's actually the ideal use case. Cross-event Sparks build engagement loyalty year after year. The network graph thickens with every encounter. Your alumni return with a cumulative network identity.
Is my data protected?
Strict Row-Level Security on all tables, audit logs on sensitive operations, 30-min session timeout, OAuth tokens encrypted via libsodium, native GDPR. EU hosting (Liège / Frankfurt).
Are you GDPR compliant?
Native GDPR: privacy center with instant-sync toggles for every attendee, one-click right to be forgotten, auto export of personal data. Signable DPA included in all plans.
Where is the data hosted?
100% EU — Supabase datacenters in Frankfurt, replicas in Liège. No out-of-EU transfer. No Schrems II, no Cloud Act. Your audience stays on European soil.
What happens if I leave SmartConnection?
Full CSV / JSON export of all your data and your attendees'. Permanent deletion within 30 days of request. No lock-in, your contacts stay your contacts.
Do you offer SSO and SAML?
Out of 2026 scope — by design. With our 10-to-1500 events target and a single decision-maker, enterprise SSO isn't critical. If it's a blocker for your IT, mention it in the demo: we'll study it case-by-case for Business plans.
Audit logs and traceability?
All CRUD on events, API keys, webhooks and deletions are logged with timestamp, IP, user-agent. CSV export from the dashboard. 12-month retention, longer on request for Business plans.
