SmartConnection's words, explained simply

Some features have a name of their own. Here is what each one means, and what it is for.

Before the event

River mode / Tribe mode
Two ways to network, chosen by the organiser. In River mode, the app steers everyone towards people they don't know yet. In Tribe mode, it also helps members of the same community find each other again from one event to the next.
Invite & Track
For the organiser's sales team. Each salesperson invites their clients and prospects with their own link, then sees who signed up, who came, who they met and who to follow up with.

During the event

Who's Who
The directory of the event's attendees, open to registered attendees only. It shows who is there, what each person is looking for and what they offer.
Living Trombi
The live attendee board: everyone shows whether they are available, in a meeting or looking for someone. You know who to approach, right now.
Matchmaker
The organiser's console for introducing people to each other. The app suggests the most relevant pairs and explains why; the organiser makes the intro in one click and follows each one until the two people meet.
“Not everyone has connected”
The panel that shows the organiser people who have been there a while without a single exchange, with their best possible contacts. So you can go to them before they leave disappointed.
Magnet Match
A QR code scanned between two people. Their compatibility appears instantly (goals, sector, interests) and the encounter is recorded. If a meeting was planned between them, it is confirmed.
Challenges and polls
Launched live by the organiser to liven up the room (“scan two badges”, “vote for the next session”). They earn Sparks.

The game

Sparks
Networking points. You earn them by meeting people, keeping your meetings and taking on challenges. They reward real connections, not time spent in the app, and add up from one event to the next.
Spark Shop
The event's shop: the organiser offers rewards (a coffee, a goodie, a front-row seat) that attendees exchange for their Sparks.
Missions
Personal goals each attendee sets for an event, up to five (“meet two investors”). Ticking them off earns Sparks.
Kudos
A public thank-you sent to someone who helped you, gave you advice or introduced you to the right person.
Spark Score
The share of accepted meetings that actually happened, confirmed by both sides. A sign of reliability: you can see who keeps their word.

After the event

Two-way validation
After a meeting, each person confirms “we met”. An encounter only counts once both have confirmed it.
Recap
The email received the day after the event: the people you met, who to start with and why to follow up.
Recap Card
An image summing up the event in numbers, ready to share on LinkedIn. There is one for attendees, organisers and salespeople.
Portfolio
For a salesperson: every contact they brought in, from one event to the next, with where each one stands.
Impact report
The organiser's PDF: attendance, confirmed encounters, feedback, and what to improve next time. Enough to convince members and sponsors to come back.
